Your Garage Could Use Some Epoxy Paint
Epoxy floors are considered to be very good for places where there are lots of chances for the floor getting damaged. And it's because epoxy garage paint is quite durable material. It is hard to find a type of floor that can endure everything that these floor can in such long periods of time.
There is not type of flooring that has such high resistance damage as epoxy floor. They not only resist to wear and tear but they also resist to dirt and dust. They can be cleaned quite easily. Garages are considered to be one of the most ideal places to apply epoxy floors. And the reason for this is because garage floors have high risk of being damaged to the activities that happen in the garage itself.
To apply epoxy paint on your garage floor is not such a hard task. You only have few steps to follow and you will achive this. The total process can be divided in to four main parts. You will have to start with etching the concrete, since it is the first step you have to make. This helps in preparing the floor for epoxy coating. One should also clean the floor before applying the coating.
Cleaning and etching makes the floor rougher which proves to be quite good for adhesion of the epoxy coating. The second step one has to take is too see that the floor is not exposed to moisture. You have to make sure to seal the concrete so that your floor doesn't have any moisture or you will lower the quality of your epoxy coating.
Correct sealing will help a lot when it comes to bondin epoxy and the floor. After this the epoxy coating can be applied to the floor. You can do this by using roller, spray or a brush. In case you have a damp garage floor, you can't expect that the epoxy paint will bond the way it should.
The last and the final step is applying of the topcoat. Applying the topcoat to the epoxy floor is very necessary. One should never avoid applying of the top coat if best results of the epoxy coating are wanted.
